3 Qualities of a Competent Hustler

A hustler is an economist, a person who is working towards meeting his or her daily goals. A hustler may me in formal or informal employment. A hustler acknowledges that the room for improvement is the largest room available. He or she acknowledges that resources are limited and that no one person has the expertise or resources to make even a simple pencil. Foundation for Economic Education has explained why this is so here.

A competent hustler is one who does not only know himself but also pursues his potential with zeal. The Foundation for Economic Education has listed three qualities of an economist as under.

A competent hustler is a specialist

He knows what he is best at and pursues it while leaving other roles to other people to pursue. A hustler may start his hustle without any specialization but with consistent pursuit, he is able to identify which role he can specialize in and so maximize production. Once he has attained the optimum production, he is ready for the next quality.

A competent hustler is a trader

He exchanges what he has produced with someone specializing in something that he is interested in. Historically, this was done directly, exchanging products for products. The inconvenience of transporting products and the challenge of locating a person who is interested in the one’s products brought about the third quality.

A competent hustler is financially literate

He knows that without specialization and exchange, there will be no living. Many potential hustlers are idle today for lack of financial literacy. They do not know how to make money through specialization. Some have never seen anyone in their families make money and are living with financial trauma.

For the better part of my childhood, I had no voice hence low self esteem. Here is my story of how healing my childhood adversity opened  my eyes  to the unlimited opportunities. I am work in progress. I am still learning as I help hustlers become competent to live.
