Let me comfort you that the list in proverbs 31 is not a checklist for a virtuous woman!
During the lifespan of a woman, it is normal for the woman to be an entrepreneur, a caregiver, investor, community volunteer and counselor. Whatever the season of life she is in, she honors the Lord.
These seasons are not linear but they all have one thing in common, honoring the Lord.
What does it mean to honor God?
(Reyenga, 2006), has answered that question. He states that honoring the Lord is repeatedly talking and listening to him. Talking takes the form of praises, confession and supplications. Listening primarily means meditating on his word (Bible). This means that honoring God is having a relationship with him. It is no secret that one cannot have a relationship without an ongoing communication.
Whatever season a woman who honors God is at, she keeps her connection with God and encourages all those who she interacts with to do the same. She will not compromise her connection to God by connecting with anyone who does not honor God.
In marriage and business partnerships, she is careful to uphold her primary connection with God. She is aware that seasons come and pass but her God connection will outlast seasons.
What if one has not honored God and want to do so?
Being a virtuous woman is a choice one has to make regardless of the season of her life. Whatever the season or age one is at, one can choose to start today.
